Case Study 2 – Building and Construction (Learner)

The Brief

The client operates a highly automated facility and had trained several groups in competitive systems and practices. Middle management were keen to get involved but had missed out on the training and were struggling to get involved.

The Execution

Efficiency Works delivered a five day lean skills program designed to fast track the management team so that they would have the knowledge and the confidence to fully engage with their teams. Covering topics including value stream mapping, problem solving, visual performance measurement, 5S and setup time reduction the management group committed to facilitating 30 projects involving team members over a number of months.

The Results

The program we rolled out resulted in:

  • Management being able to “walk the talk”
  • Improve plant performance
  • A big step forward towards a sustainable CI culture
